Character Grade White Oak in Bridgehampton

Looking for a floor that has a more “natural” feel to it? Just feast your eyes on this Character Grade oak floor we just installed in a lovely home in Bridgehampton. The extra detail in these wide planks go a long way to bringing a whole new level of detail and “character” to these rooms.

Different Hardwood Floor Grades

There are 4 different grades in wood flooring: prime, select, natural (or character grade) and rustic (sometimes called barn grade). Character grade wood will feature some knots and color variation, as you can clearly see here. It definitely adds to the charm of the floor.

This particular project used 3/4″ x 8″ Character Grade White Oak and was finished using Bona Traffic Extra Matte.
